Each province has a superior who is simply called “the provincial,” and who normally serves a six-year term and is responsible for overseeing the mission of the province and caring for the Jesuits who belong to the province. Father Thomas Greene, SJ, is the provincial for the USA Central and Southern Province. He will end his six-year term in 2026.
