Dr. Ronald Rebore
Changes in Secondary Education Office

July 5, 2019 - Father Ronald A. Mercier, SJ, provincial of the Jesuits USA Central and Southern (UCS) Province, has announced two staff changes in the province’s secondary and pre-secondary education office. Ronald Rebore has been appointed the new provincial assistant for secondary and pre-secondary education (PASE). Kenneth Luecke will serve the province as the new associate provincial assistant for secondary and pre-secondary education.

Rebore has served as associate PASE for the past year, working closely with province schools and managing educational programs and the Alum Service Corps.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed the past year collaborating with the schools of the UCS Province,” Rebore said. “Working with all 13 schools gives perspective on what we’re accomplishing in this enterprise of Jesuit education. I’m looking forward to continuing this great collaborative work.”

An alumnus of De Smet Jesuit High School in St. Louis, Rebore brings 20 years of experience in Jesuit education, having served in various roles at his alma mater, including teacher, interim principal and assistant principal for staff development. He is well prepared for his work with the province’s 13 secondary and presecondary schools, especially in the areas of Ignatian formation, faculty evaluation and school accreditation. In addition to serving as liaison between the schools and the province, Rebore will serve on the board of the Jesuit Schools Network.

Kenneth Luecke

Ken Luecke brings to his new position the wisdom that comes from more than four decades in Jesuit secondary education. He also brings a commitment to service, deeply rooted in Ignatian spirituality. He has served since 1975 at De Smet, where he taught theology for more than 20 years. In addition to his time in the classroom, he also worked as director of student services and formation, assistant principal, athletic director and activities director. He was the director of community service for 40 years. He was inducted into the De Smet Jesuit High School Hall of Fame earlier this year.

Rebore replaces Geoffrey Miller, who served as provincial assistant for secondary and pre-secondary education for two years. The province is grateful for Miller’s fine service and his commitment to Jesuit education.
