Edward Kinerk, SJ

Biography

Father Edward Kinerk, SJ, is a retreat and spiritual director and retreat house director at Sacred Heart Jesuit Retreat in Sedalia, Colo. He previously also served as superior of the Jesuit community in Sedalia. This year Fr. Kinerk celebrates his Golden Jubilee as a priest.  

Father Kinerk served as provincial of the former Missouri Province of the Society of Jesus from 1991 to 1997. He also served the former Missouri Province as formation director from 1985 to 1991.  

His other assignments include master of novices in Denver (1982-85) and president of Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, Mo. (1998-2006).  

Father Kinerk has a bachelor’s degree from Rockhurst University, a master’s degree from Saint Louis University, and a Doctor of Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
