75 Years a Jesuit
Father James Blumeyer, SJ, spent decades of his Jesuit ministry serving in higher education, province leadership and retreat ministry. This year he celebrates 75 years in the Society of Jesus.
Father Blumeyer began his active ministry in 1954, as the pastoral minister for St. Stephen’s Mission on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. After studying philosophy at Saint Louis University, he taught Latin at Regis Jesuit High School in Denver.
