Michael Caruso

Biography:

Father Michael P. Caruso, SJ, is the vice president of mission, operations and planning at St. Louis University High School, and has been the superior of the Jesuit community there since 2022. Ordained a priest in 1982, Fr. Caruso entered the Society of Jesus in 1993. He has since worked as an associate professor of education at both Loyola Marymount University and Saint Louis University, before becoming president of Saint Ignatius College Preparatory School in Chicago, where he served from 2010 to 2020.

Father Caruso focuses extensively in his work on the survivability and sustainability of Catholic education, both in the past and present. He has lent his opinions to EWTN programming on numerous occasions and has published two books through Rowman & Littlefield.
