Joshua, 33, grew up in northwest Kansas. He has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s in public administration. Josh never considered a vocation to the religious life until a friend gave him a copy of The Jesuit Guide to Almost Everything. Ignatian Spirituality resonated with him, but he did not immediately respond to the call to religious life. He worked for the State of Kansas and as a budget analyst for the city of Kansas City, Missouri. Searching for a deeper meaning in his life, he felt called to enter the Society of Jesus.
