Feast of St. Ignatius and Closing Mass – St. Louis

The Ignatian Family in St. Louis is invited to gather for a Mass celebrating the Feast of St. Ignatius Loyola and the close of the Ignatian Year. See details.

The Mass will be held at the Shrine of St. Joseph, 1220 North 11th Street, St. Louis, at 11:00 a.m., on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

Feast of St. Ignatius and Closing Mass – Kansas City

All are invited to St. Francis Xavier Parish, Kansas City’s Jesuit parish, for Mass on Sunday, July 31, in honor of St. Ignatius Loyola followed by a reception with light refreshments and fellowship. Meet old friends and make new connections. Incoming freshman at Jesuit colleges and universities are especially invited. 

St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church is located at 1001 E. 52nd St. in Kansas City, 64110. Mass begins at 10:30. A reception follows in Xavier Hall at JPII Commons next door to the church, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

July 31-August 1, 2021: Special Events in New Orleans Celebrating the Feast of St. Ignatius 

On Saturday, July 31 at noon CDT, Holy Name of Jesus Parish in New Orleans will hold a special liturgy to celebrate that day’s Feast of St. Ignatius. A reception will follow at Holy Name of Jesus Parish Center (6220 LaSalle Place, New Orleans, La., 70118).

On Sunday, Aug. 1 at 4:00 p.m. CDT, Holy Name of Jesus Parish in New Orleans (6367 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, La., 70118) will host Celebrating St. Ignatius an afternoon of music and short reflections on the Jesuit founder and his legacy. The event is presented by the Ignatian Volunteer Corps of New Orleans and will feature Fr. Edwin Gros, SJ.

May 23, 2021: Pilgrims with Ignatius Prayer Service from the Curia

To prayerfully inaugurate this important year, the Jesuit Curia is planning an online prayer on May 23 at 7:00 p.m. CDT. The prayer service will be streamed at ignatius500.global/live.

In addition to Fr. General Arturo Sosa, the webcast will include testimonies from people in different Jesuit Conferences and music from around the world.
