Dec. 17, 2021– The Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province in December 2018 released a list of Jesuits with credible allegations of sexual abuse of a minor. This list was updated in February of 2020 and has been updated again this month, adding three names. They are:

  • Patrick H. Koch, SJ (deceased 2006) – More than one allegation
  • Samuel H. Ray, SJ (deceased 1983) – More than one allegation
  • Patrick Walsh, SJ (deceased 1993) – A single allegation

Biographical information on the three men, including assignments, can be found in the list on this website.

The province urges anyone who experienced sexual abuse as a minor to report the offense to the law enforcement or child protective services in the locale where the abuse happened. Survivors are also encouraged to advise the Jesuits by calling Carol Zarinelli Brescia, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She can be reached confidentially by phone at 314-915-7168 or email at ucsoutreach@jesuits.org.
