New Provincial Assistant for Healthcare
Peggy McAuliffe has been named provincial assistant for healthcare for the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province. The assistant for healthcare visits Jesuits throughout the province to assess their health needs and offer guidance and support. She works closely with the superior and the director of health and wellness at St. Ignatius Hall to ensure senior members of the province receive the best possible care.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to work with the Jesuits and to help ensure that those who care for others so well are caring for themselves, as I have long been grateful for the works, witness and wisdom of the Jesuits,” McAuliffe said.
McAuliffe is a graduate of Saint Louis University and has a graduate degree from the University of California San Francisco. She spent 25 years as a clinical cardiology nurse at Saint Louis University Hospital.
IVC-St. Louis Has New Director
Christy Hicks Aydt became the new regional director of the Ignatian Volunteer Corps-St. Louis Chapter in August. She brings to IVC a wide variety of educational and ministerial qualifications, including campus ministry, hospital chaplaincy and spiritual direction. She replaces Sr. Amy Diesen, OSF, who generously shared her Franciscan spirituality while directing IVC for the past seven years.
The St. Louis Chapter is one of three IVC chapters in the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province. Seniors can also share their talents through IVC in Denver and New Orleans. Learn more at ivcusa.org.
