Belize is an integral part of the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province, stemming back to 1893, when the Jesuit superior general asked the Jesuits of what was then the Missouri Province to work in British Honduras, now the country of Belize.
Founded in 1887, St. John’s College is a Jesuit educational institution that provides high school, junior college and university opportunities. The education at St. John’s emphasizes intellectual rigor, critical thinking and ethical development, encouraging students to become agents of change who can lead with compassion and integrity.
Fordyce Chapel, the center of St. John’s campus, has weathered many storms since its original construction in 1956. Your donation will help to conduct much needed restorations which will help to renew this symbol for students of their faith, their ideals, and their education that will help them shape the world.
