Support the work of Fr. Anthony Corcoran, SJ

Father Anthony Corcoran, SJ, has served as the apostolic administrator for Kyrgyzstan, a position much like that of a bishop, since 2017. Since his priestly ordination in 1996, he has been assigned almost exclusively to the countries of Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The jurisdiction is entrusted to the Jesuits by the Vatican.

Father Corcoran is the pastoral leader of the small Catholic population in this predominantly Muslim country in Central Asia.

Kyrgyzstan is a country of six million people, landlocked between China to the south and east and the republics of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, all formerly part of the Soviet Union. Kyrgyzstan gained its independence in 1991, after the fall of the Soviet empire.
