Inspired by the Universal Apostolic Preference to “show the way to God through the Spiritual Exercises and discernment,” retreat teams and colleagues of the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province offer opportunities to pray, learn, grow, and journey with Christ.

SUMMER 2024: UCS Jesuit Colleagues Retreats

The UCS province invites women and men working in Jesuit apostolates across its vast geography to enjoy a gift of TIME and SPACE for deepening their relationship with God among fellow colleagues serving in mission. Following the rhythm of the Spiritual Exercises, this year Jesuit Colleagues have three options from which to choose:

Jesuit Colleagues Retreat in Spanish (June 24-30, 2024) to be hosted by Pepe Ruiz, SJ. Registration closes April 30, 2024. WAIT LIST available.
The Annual Jesuit Colleagues Retreat in English (July 7-13, 2024) returns to a single venue in its original home at Sacred Heart Retreat House in Sedalia, Colorado. Registration closes April 30, 2024.

NEW IN 2024: PILGRIMAGES with the Office of Ignatian Spirituality

Encountering Christ “along the road” is a hallmark of Christianity in general, and of Ignatian Spirituality in particular. Before he was a Saint or “Ignatius,” Inigo Lopez de Onaz y Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus was a “pilgrim.” We hope you will consider joining Fr. Hung Pham, SJ as he leads fellow pilgrims to encounter with Christ in this unique and all-encompassing experience of physical, intellectual, communal, and spiritual exercises.

1. HEALING PILGRIMAGE to VIETNAM (January 2-15, 2024)

Visit “PAST EVENTS” to learn more about this unique and grace-filled encounter. Such a positive experience that a second offering is in the works for December 2024 / January 2025. More to follow.

2. IGNATIAN CAMINO for YOUNG ADULTS (June 10-22, 2024)

Desire to deepen your faith by following in the footsteps of “the Pilgrim” whose spiritual journey has been uniting people to Christ for over 500 years? Participants in this young-adult pilgrimage (22 – 40 years old) will be fully immersed in Ignatian Spirituality by physically walking through Ignatian sites in Northern Spain (Loyola, Montserrat, Manresa) and from La Storta to Rome, Italy.

3. Following the FOOTSTEPS of OUR MOTHER (October 14 – 26, 2024)

Spaces are still available for this 13-day prayerful journey to major European Marian shrines: Fatima, Lourdes, and Montserrat (with additional stops in Lisbon, Paris, and Barcelona). This multi-cultural experience promises to draw pilgrims close to She who most expediently “places us with her Son.”
