Become a Jesuit

Unlike Jesuit formation that follows a specific path, how Jesuits work in the world varies greatly. Embodying the spirit of going where the need is the greatest, Jesuits listen deeply for God’s call and go where they are sent.

In addition to teachers and pastors, Jesuits are nurses, musicians, prison and police chaplains, scientists and authors. In addition to discerning their vocation to the Society of Jesus, men also discern the work they are called to do in their communities, all across the world.

Each profile is a glimpse into the Jesuit’s life and work, told in their own words.
