Fr. Chris Collins, SJ


Father Chris Collins, SJ, recently celebrated 25 years as a Jesuit. Now serving as vice president for mission at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., after serving for nearly a decade at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, first as a theology teacher from 2012-14 and then as assistant to the president for mission and identity.  

Following his priestly ordination in 2006, Fr. Collins served in pastoral ministry at Holy Rosary Mission in Pine Ridge, S.D. He then earned his doctorate in sacred theology at Boston College. His research and writing are in the areas of systematic theology and spirituality. 

He possesses a bachelor’s degree from Yale University, a Bachelor of Sacred Theology and Master of Divinity from Regis College in Toronto, a Master of Sacred Theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, and Ph.D. in Philosophy/Classical Humanities from Emory University.
